Why can't I re-upload my CSV?

When uploading contact lists to MindFire, you may encounter an error if you try to re-upload a CSV file that has already been uploaded using the same file name.


For example, if you upload contacts.csv and later delete it from MindFire, trying to upload contacts.csv again will result in an error like:


This occurs because MindFire does not allow duplicate CSV files to prevent inconsistencies in your contact data. Even if you have edited the file locally, MindFire still recognizes it as a duplicate based on the file name.


To successfully upload your edited CSV file, you simply need to save it under a new name before re-uploading to MindFire.


For example, you could save it as contacts_v2.csv. This will allow you to overwrite the old data with your new contacts list.


In summary:

  • MindFire does not allow re-uploading a CSV file with the same name
  • If you need to re-upload an edited list, save it under a new file name
  • For example change contacts.csv to contacts_v2.csv
  • This will avoid errors and allow you to update data as needed
