04. Saving a Program

Modified on Wed, 26 Jun at 12:36 PM

While the WorkFlow Designer stores all of your published work in the cloud, you can also save your Program locally to do work offline, to save changes before Publishing, or you can save your Program as a template to use as a base to create similar programs.

Instructions:

1. Click on the diskette icon in the Program Studio toolbar

2. Specify a location for your file and click "Save". You can save the current version to the Cloud, or Download it to your computer in JSON or MAML Formats

Note:

The file format really does not matter unless you are a developer using the API to publish the program.

3. Leave the other checkboxes left unchecked unless you are saving this program to be used as a template

4. The file can be used on any browser that has access to the MindFire Platform and has access to this file

5. To open this file, click the down arrow under "Open" and select the correct option

If you saved to the cloud, select the “Saved New Program” option

Otherwise, select the Local JSON or MAML file depending on how you saved it

Save a Program as a Template

Instructions:

1. To save a published Program as a Template, click on the diskette icon in the Program Studio toolbar

2. Select the “As Template” option, specify the name of the file, and click "Save"

3. To open this file, click the down arrow under "Open" and select "From PC." Make sure to select "Marketing Program Files (*.maml)" in the bottom right corner of the window

To open this file, click the down arrow under "Open" and select the correct option

If you saved to the cloud, select the “Saved New Program” option

Otherwise, select the Local JSON or MAML file depending on how you saved it
